London – April 28, 2020: Crowell & Moring’s London office has launched an interactive virtual assistant to help businesses navigate the growing number of UK government regulations as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The UK COVID-19 Legal Assistant is featured in the firm's Coronavirus Resource Center and is able to quickly answer questions about new UK government support measures which have been put in place to respond to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The London office worked with Lawren.io, a legal technology company, to develop the assistant and is offering the application free of charge in order to help businesses and organizations obtain the most up-to-date information quickly and efficiently. The firm’s Brussels office recently adopted the same tool in relation to Belgian measures.
“As new regulations are passed into law, our lawyers stand ready to help businesses decipher them and their implications”, said Robert Weekes, managing partner of the London office. “The UK COVID-19 Legal Assistant is one new tool we are deploying to continue helping our clients during these uncertain times. The virtual assistant has the latest developments at its digital fingertips, able to provide timely guidance and connect businesses to further resources to ensure every question is answered.”
