Crowell & Moring Among Law Firms Recognized in The Deal’s "Deal of the Year" and "Energy & Industrials Deal of the Year"

New York – October 2, 2020: The Deal named the merger of United Technologies Corporation and The Raytheon Company as the “Deal of the Year” and the “Energy & Industrials Deal of the Year” at The Deal Awards 2020. Crowell & Moring is among the firms recognized for its role in the merger.
Crowell & Moring served as lead antitrust counsel for United Technologies in connection with the $135 billion transaction, the largest aerospace and defense deal in history. Crowell & Moring secured approval for the merger from the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Defense Department, which required navigating complex horizontal and vertical competition issues across a wide range of both classified and non-classified businesses.
The team was led by Antitrust Group co-chair Shawn Johnson and counsel Megan Wolf, and included lawyers from the firm’s Antitrust, Government Contracts, and International Trade groups.
