Crowell & Moring Partners Agustin Orozco and Emily Kuwahara Named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2025 Leaders of Influence: Thriving in Their 40s List

Los Angeles – December 17, 2025: The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Crowell & Moring partners Agustin Orozco and Emily Kuwahara to its 2025 Leaders of Influence: Thriving in Their 40s list. The honorees were selected in recognition of their significant contributions to the legal industry and the Los Angeles community.
Orozco serves as managing partner of Crowell’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement and Government Contracts groups. The publication described Orozco as a “standout leader whose career reflects excellence, versatility and impact.” A former assistant U.S. attorney in the Public Corruption & Civil Rights Section for the Central District of California, Orozco represents clients in criminal and civil government investigations and enforcement actions. He also represents and counsels clients on matters involving federal, state, and local government contracts. He has litigated civil False Claims Act matters and other government contracts issues, such as disputes, claims, and terminations, as well as suspension and debarment matters. Orozco is also experienced in matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, including conducting investigations abroad and counseling clients on compliance issues.
Kuwahara is a partner in Crowell’s Litigation Group and serves as co-chair of the appellate practice. She represents clients in breach of contract claims, business torts, antitrust and consumer class actions, unfair competition, products liability, and other complex business matters. The LABJ noted, “Kuwahara is widely recognized for her strategic leadership and ability to deliver results in high-stakes, complex litigation. Clients rely on Kuwahara for her honest risk assessments and track record of securing favorable outcomes in appeals, patent inventorship disputes, breach of contract actions, business torts, antitrust and consumer class actions, unfair competition law, and other sophisticated business disputes.” Outside of Crowell, Kuwahara is a long-time board member and current president of the Japanese American Bar Association.
