City & State New York Names Partner Glen McGorty to 2021 Law Power 100 List

New York – March 16, 2021: City & State New York has again named Glen G. McGorty, managing partner of Crowell & Moring’s New York office, to its 2021 Law Power 100 List. The list recognizes New York lawyers who are “having an impact in New York’s political and government spheres.”
A former assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York, McGorty is a leader in the white collar and regulatory enforcement bar and a partner in Crowell’s White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group and Financial Services Practice. In addition to serving as the managing partner of Crowell’s New York office, McGorty is also a member of the firm’s Management Board and co-chair of its Strategic Growth Committee. He is an experienced trial lawyer who served for nearly 15 years as a federal prosecutor in both the Southern District of New York and the Justice Department in Washington, D.C.
McGorty represents corporate entities and individuals in federal and state criminal and regulatory matters, and in investigations conducted by grand juries, congressional committees, independent and special counsel, and international, federal, and state law enforcement and regulatory agencies. He has also led internal investigations for many corporate clients including multiple international financial institutions, major defense contractors, international pharmaceutical companies, a global communications company, an international power plant construction company, and a Fortune 100 multinational engineering conglomerate. The publication also highlights McGorty’s service “as the court-appointed federal monitor of the New York City District Council of Carpenters, and recently gained new powers to try to root out organized crime in the union’s ranks.”
