City & State New York Names Glen McGorty to 2024 Responsible 100 Alumni List

New York – December 5, 2024: City & State New York named New York office managing partner Glen McGorty to the 2024 Responsible 100 Alumni List. From an alumni group of over 1,000 outstanding individuals, the list honors deserving leaders who exemplify the values of corporate social responsibility. McGorty has previously been selected four times for City & State New York’s Law Power 100 List, recognizing New York’s “100 most politically powerful lawyers.”

McGorty is a member of the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group and the Financial Services Practice, and serves as a member of the firm’s Management Board and co-chair of its Litigation and Trial Department. He is an experienced trial lawyer who served almost 15 years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.  McGorty represents corporate entities and individuals in federal and state criminal and regulatory matters, and in investigations conducted by grand juries, congressional committees, independent and special counsel, and international, federal, and state law enforcement and regulatory agencies.  He also leads the firm’s monitorship practice, and has served as court appointed monitor of the New York City District Council of Carpenters for the past decade, and, since 2021, has served on the monitor team for the United Autoworkers of America, overseeing the union’s first ever union-wide national mail-in ballot officer election.  City & State also highlighted McGorty’s busy pro bono defense work for indigent defendants in the Southern District of New York.
