Robin Baillie is a partner in Crowell & Moring’s Energy Group in the firm’s London office. He has over 20 years of experience advising clients on infrastructure projects around the world.

He has a broad infrastructure project practice advising developers, project sponsors, infrastructure funds, government bodies, lenders, contractors and operators on a wide range of projects involving energy, roads, rail, health care, education, and housing. The work involved includes project development, project finance, and acquisition and divestiture.

In the U.K., Robin’s experience has been predominantly advising sponsors and the public sector on PFI/PPP projects in the housing, energy, and health sectors.

Representative Matters

  • Advising on numerous secondary market acquisitions in health, education, transportation, defense, and housing sectors around the world.
  • Advising joint venture on the development, finance, and construction of a £250 million waste processing facility in the U.K.
  • Advising energy infrastructure funds on the financing and development of a number of renewable energy projects in the U.K.
  • Advising on the development and construction of a major hydrogen power facility in the U.K.
  • Advising developers and sponsors on numerous biomass and RDF based EFW facilities across the U.K.
  • Advising the owners and operators on a wide variety of operational issues on PPP and energy projects in the U.K and U.S.
  • Advising sponsors and developers on a number of development and regeneration schemes in the U.K.
  • Advising on the acquisition and refinancing of a portfolio of service stations in the U.S.
