Overview

Lucia Pallier is a Health Care and Litigation associate in Crowell & Moring’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Litigation groups. Lucia focuses her practice on representing clients in a variety of healthcare litigation matters, including high-profile payer-provider disputes. Moreover, Lucia advises payers, providers, and other healthcare clients on complex compliance issues, such as in investigations of fraud and abuse under the False Claims Act, Stark Law, or Anti-Kickback statute.

Prior to practicing as a litigator in the United States, Lucia counseled entities in the healthcare and life sciences sector in Europe on regulatory questions, including digital health and telemedicine, reimbursement and price negotiations with health plans, and European Medicines Agency (EMA) market authorizations. She also worked at a major academic research hospital in Berlin, Germany.

During law school, Lucia served as lead editor of the Stanford Technology Law Review (STLR) and Pro Bono adviser in the Community Health Access Project (CHAP), a medical-legal partnership. At Crowell & Moring LLP, Lucia still maintains an active Pro Bono practice in which she concentrates on cases involving women’s health and reproductive rights.
