Firm News | 1 min read | 12.17.02

Washington, D.C. – December 17, 2002: A memorial service for our late partner Roger Boyd has been scheduled for January 8, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Club, 1700 H St., N.W., Washington, D.C. It would help us if you would let us know by reply if you plan to attend.

In memory of Roger, the Firm and the Boyd family have established the Roger Boyd Fund at the George Washington University Law School. The fund will provide a scholarship stipend for the editor-in-chief of the Public Contract Law Journal, now published by the Law School in cooperation with the ABA's Section of Public Contract Law. The recipient will be known as "The Roger Boyd Scholar." This scholarship is intended to commemorate and to provide for the continuation of Roger's lively and serious interest in procurement law, his support for the government contracts curriculum and students at the George Washington Law School and the affiliated Government Contracts Program, and his active role in the Section of Public Contract law. Those wishing to contribute to the fund may do so care of the Office of Development, GW Univ. Law School, Suite M-229, 2000 H St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20052, Attention Ms. Leslie Borak, Executive Director of Law Advancement. Donations should be made out to "GW Law School" with an accompanying note that the donation is to be applied to "The Roger Boyd Fund." The law school will provide a receipt.
