Prestigious Georgetown University Alumni Association Award Presented to Crowell & Moring's Philip Inglima

Washington, D.C. – June 7, 2011: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Philip T. Inglima, a Washington, D.C.-based partner in the firm's White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group, was among five recipients to receive a John Carroll Award from the Georgetown University Alumni Association. Inglima received the award during the alumni association's annual banquet to honor the recipients in San Francisco, April 30, 2011.
The John Carroll Award was established in 1951 to honor alumni whose achievements exemplify the ideals and traditions of the university and its founder, Archbishop John Carroll. The awards banquet was part of the annual John Carroll Weekend, which drew 1,400 Georgetown University alumni and their families from around the globe.
Inglima joins an esteemed group of award recipients from the Georgetown community including: Mary Taylor Behrens, the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown, Paul F. Pelosi and Michael L. Vespoli. Selection criteria for the award include lifetime achievement, dedication to the principles of Georgetown, volunteer service to Georgetown and community and public service.
A member of the board of governors since 1997, Inglima served as president of the alumni association and as a member of the board of directors for two years. Earning both his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University, he also teaches a course in federal white collar crime at the University's Law Center.
With an emphasis on criminal frauds and parallel civil and regulatory enforcement proceedings, Inglima has litigated a broad range of criminal and civil matters in trial and appellate courts. He also has substantial experience in handling congressional investigations and professional responsibility proceedings. His clients have ranged from public corporations to individuals and closely-held entities. In recent years, he has represented clients in several of the most prominent federal white collar controversies.
