Washington, D.C. - September 25, 2015: Crowell & Moring's longtime Antitrust Group client United Technologies Corporation received U.S. antitrust clearance for its sale of Sikorsky Aircraft to Lockheed Martin Corp. The Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice declined to issue a Second Request in connection with the $9 billion transaction, concluding the U.S. regulatory review. Sikorsky is the manufacturer of numerous civil and military helicopters, including the Black Hawk and Marine One.

Crowell & Moring served as lead antitrust counsel for UTC in the matter. The team was led by partner Shawn R. Johnson, and included partner Wm. Randolph Smith and associate Megan L. Wolf. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz served as co-counsel for UTC.
