Crowell & Moring Partner Emily Kuwahara Named Among The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s 2018 Best Lawyers Under 40

Los Angeles – September 5, 2018: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Emily T. Kuwahara, a Los Angeles-based partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, is one of 19 lawyers recognized among the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2018 Best Lawyers Under 40. The award recognizes talented individuals within the Asian Pacific American (APA) community under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields and who have demonstrated a strong commitment to Asian Pacific American civic or community affairs. The award will be presented during the 2018 NAPABA Convention in Chicago.
Kuwahara’s legal practice focuses on broad-based litigation, including breach of contract actions, business torts, consumer class actions, unfair competition law, and other complex business disputes at both the trial and appellate court levels. She has also represented clients in criminal antitrust matters and grand jury investigations, particularly in Japan.
Kuwahara currently serves as secretary of the Japanese American Bar Association and is on the governing board of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County.
