Specifically, United Technologies Corporation's acquisition of Goodrich Corporation was named as one of five finalists in both the "Matter of the Year" and "Merger Control of the Year – Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa" categories. At the GCR Awards dinner held at the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. on April 9, Christoph Feddersen, former assistant general counsel for United Technologies Corporation, was chosen out of five finalists in the "Individual Awards" category as "Corporate Counsel of the Year" for his work on the UTC/Goodrich deal.
