December 8, 2016 • New York, NY

Starts: 8:30 AM (EST)
Ends: 10:00 AM (EST)
Site: Crowell & Moring
Address: 590 Madison Avenue, 20th Floor, New York, NY View Map (view map)

Economic forecasts envision moderate global growth in 2017, with U.S. GDP growth likely to remain subdued. While inflation will likely edge higher, it is likely to remain at historically low levels. Persistent global disinflation is likely to continue to anchor monetary policy at accommodative levels. Cautious Fed hikes amid macro uncertainty, Euro‐area growth acceleration and policy easing, and managed growth deceleration in China will also affect the U.S. economy. The macro environment remains equity friendly, but risk‐reward in stocks will deteriorate, especially in the United States. Senior‐level economists and market strategists will address these and other issues.  Speakers include: Ron Insana, Senior Analyst & Commentator, CNBC; Shachar Kariv, Benjamin N. Ward Professor of Economics and Chair, Department of Economics, University of California, Berkeley; Liz Ann Sonders, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.; and Jim O'Sullivan, Chief U.S. Economist, High Frequency Economics.

Paul Pollock is participating in this event.
