This program will address then-current issues in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) regulation, with specific reference to privacy and safety at both the state and federal level.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (also known as drones) have been all over the news recently, from Amazon's plan to deliver packages to homes, to use of drones in upcoming Hollywood blockbusters, to the security and privacy questions raised by newly enacted laws and regulations different states have enacted UAV laws. Further, with the FAA's regulatory scheme for UAVs issued in September 2015, UAVs is on the minds of lawyers and non-lawyers. The panel will discuss current issues in UAVs regulation, with specific reference to privacy and safety at the state and federal level.
