Kristof Roox is co-managing partner of Crowell & Moring’s Brussels Office. He is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and focuses on IP litigation, and in particular on complex patent litigation in the life sciences sector. With 25 years’ experience, Kristof has an impressive reputation before the Belgian civil and administrative courts, and before regulatory authorities. He is also widely respected for his pragmatic and creative approach to solving business disputes and for his to-the-point counselling.

In addition to traditional IP litigation and counselling, Kristof is widely recognized for his thought leadership in relation to the regulatory aspects of life sciences. Previous assistant professor for private international law at the University of Ghent, Kristof now teaches IP law at the University of Liège. He is a frequent public speaker and the author of many articles on IP and private international law. He is on the editorial board of IRDI, a leading Belgian journal on IP matters, and an active member of various national and international IP associations, including the Council for Intellectual Property, an advisory body to the Belgian Government.
