When individuals and businesses have issues concerning high-stakes litigation, mergers and acquisitions, export control and sanction matters, global mobility and employment contract concerns, or antitrust investigations, Darianne Young provides effective, collaborative counsel to minimize client risks and resolve disputes. Working closely with colleagues and clients, Darianne develops legal strategies through researching legal authority, drafting high level memoranda and other legal documents, interviewing witnesses, preparing clients for interviews conducted by government agencies and opposing counsel, and engaging with foreign counsel and personnel on behalf of clients.
Darianne’s practice covers a range of international trade and antitrust issues, including international corporate transactions, global mobility and employment, export controls and import regulatory compliance, economic sanctions, no-poach agreements, monopolization, market allocation, and price fixing. Her practice spans transactions, investigations, compliance, and regulatory advice.
Darianne received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. While in law school, she served as senior editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and as secretary of the Student Bar Association. She worked with the Houston Eviction Prevention Task Force/Urban Resource and Research Center to help improve housing conditions for Harris County, Texas citizens. Additionally, as a student attorney for the Earl Carl Institute for Legal & Social Policy Inc., Darianne also handled matters concerning estate planning and management, client counseling and preparation for trial and hearings, unlawful evictions and foreclosures, and historic land preservation in the state of Texas, mainly in Harris County. She is a certified mediator in the state of Texas.
