Overview

Saheli is experienced in representing clients in managed care disputes, successfully navigating complex legal issues in both state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution venues. With a legal background particularly strong in motion practice, she has drafted numerous successful dispositive motions. She is similarly adept at skillfully representing clients at hearings for both dispositive and non-dispositive motions, ensuring comprehensive advocacy for her clients.

Saheli represents and defends managed care organizations and health plans in a wide range of matters, including contract disputes, reimbursement issues, and member and provider lawsuits. Her practice includes handling cases arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), the No Surprises Act (NSA), and a myriad of other federal and state law issues. She has made significant contributions to trial teams, includingsettling disputes brought by large hospital systems against managed care organizations, pertaining to issues of medical necessity, preauthorization, administrative remedies, and coding.

With a longstanding interest in health care beginning with pre-med studies as an undergraduate, Saheli is uniquely positioned to understand the intricacies of the health care industry and the challenges faced by managed care organizations. This background enables her to provide insightful and effective legal counsel tailored to the needs of her clients.  

Fluent in Bengali and possessing medium fluency in French, Saheli is well-equipped to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders. She is also committed to giving back to the community and has been involved in several pro bono projects, leveraging her legal skills to support those in need.
