Overview

Rebecca Van Vliet is an associate in Crowell & Moring's Government Contracts and Health Care groups in the firm’s New York office. She advises government contractors and health care payors on a range of legal issues, including government contract claims litigation, False Claims Act investigations, mental health parity investigations, suspension and debarment, and managed care litigation. Rebecca brings curiosity, diligent client service, an attentive ear, and a love of learning to all her matters.

She received her J.D. with a concentration in government procurement law from The George Washington University Law School, where she was recognized as a Ruth Burg Government Procurement Law Scholar, Thurgood Marshall Scholar, and earned cum laude honors. She also served as a research assistant to Dean Jessica Tillipman and Professor Maeva Marcus as well as a teaching assistant for courses in anti-corruption and compliance, lessons in leadership, and government contracts moot court. Also, during her time in law school, Rebecca interned at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims for the Honorable Richard A. Hertling. Additionally, Rebecca co-chaired a government contracts moot court competition in 2025 and was a staff member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal.
