Overview
Nicholas O. Bradley represents policyholders in coverage litigation relating to a variety of policies ranging from commercial general liability, professional liability, and Directors and Officers liability insurance to specialty lines such as environmental cleanup, construction, and cyber coverage. His practice covers all phases of litigation, from pretrial demands through motion practice and trial. Nicholas also represents clients in general commercial matters, including in construction defect disputes and in warranty claims against manufacturers.

Representative Matters
- Represented publisher of children’s literature in a dispute against its excess insurance carrier for coverage of defense and settlement of an underlying intellectual property dispute. The litigation culminated in a summary judgment decision in favor of the client granting full coverage for defense and settlement of the underlying action.
- Represented consortium of thirteen philanthropic organizations in dispute against more than 40 insurance carriers for defense and indemnification under legacy insurance program for coverage of more than 80 underlying lawsuits brought under the Child Victims Act. The litigation succeeded in consolidating multiple related actions into a single state court action for efficient resolution of related insurance claims.
- Successfully defended a manufacturer of sheet metal processing equipment at trial against a longtime customer’s claims of breach of contract and breach of warranty relating to a purportedly defective laser cutter. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the client, awarding the unpaid cost of the laser cutter.
