Overview

Monica Fry is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice. She advises clients on e-discovery and information management, with a particular focus on privacy and AI within the technology industry.

Prior to joining Crowell, Monica was Counsel & Specialist, Data Privacy & Regulatory Compliance, at an AI and SaaS company within the automotive retail industry. In this role, she advised on a wide range of laws and regulations, including GDPR, PIPEDA, CASL, TCPA, CCPA/CPRA, and the EU AI Act, while helping the company navigate third-party vendor relationships, internal audits, investigations, and mergers and acquisitions. She also provided guidance on the responsible use of AI technology, drafted company policies, and ensured the organization remained compliant with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

During law school, Monica was an intern at the Federal Communications Commission within the Competition & Infrastructure Policy Division. Additionally, she was a judicial intern at the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
