Megan Michaels is a counsel in Crowell & Moring’s New York office and is a member of the firm’s Advertising and Brand Protection Group. She offers comprehensive legal services to clients seeking to protect their intellectual property assets. With experience in trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, as well as experience handling domain name disputes, Megan provides clients with strategic, results-driven advice to safeguard their brands and creative works.

Megan focuses on guiding clients through the full trademark lifecycle, from clearance and filing to enforcement. She works closely with clients across a wide range of industries, from startups to established global brands, to conduct thorough trademark searches, prepare and file domestic and foreign trademark applications, respond to Office Actions, file Notices of Opposition and Petitions to Cancel with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), all to secure valuable trademark protections. Megan also advises on trademark enforcement, monitoring for potential infringements and taking swift action to protect clients’ brand integrity.

Additionally, Megan has experience filing Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) complaints and assisting in the drafting of decisions for WIPO UDRP panelists.
