Laura K. Russell

Laura has significant experience working with clients and counsel in the hospitality and retail industries to develop and maintain trademark portfolios to protect her clients’ brand rights. She has worked extensively with clients to protect their trademark rights through Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) complaints. She has also counseled clients about sweepstakes and promotions rules and food labeling regulations under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Before attending law school, Laura worked for a forensic linguist to assist with her expert testimony in various high-profile trademark infringement cases. While in law school, Laura acted as president of the UChicago Intellectual Property Law Society.

Prior to Crowell & Moring, Laura was an associate at a globally recognized firm, where she focused on domestic and international trademark portfolio management, UDRP complaints, and advertising counseling.
