Overview

Katie Barbella is an associate in Crowell and Moring’s New York office and a member of the firm’s International Trade and International Dispute Resolution groups.

Katie’s international trade practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including international trade litigation, customs compliance, tariff classifications, economic sanctions, and export controls. In her international dispute resolution practice, Katie represents clients in complex disputes, including arbitrations and federal Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) litigation.

Katie maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on immigration law, where she represents clients seeking asylum and other forms of relief. She also serves as a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Immigration Committee.

Prior to joining Crowell and during her time at the University of Virginia School of Law, Katie was a legal intern at the Southern Africa Litigation Centre, served as an editor on the editorial board for the Journal of Law & Politics, and assisted individuals seeking asylum with the Immigration Law Clinic.
