Overview

Elisa Paredis is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office and a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Group. Her practice involves the full range of EU and Belgian competition law, including restrictive practices, merger control, and state aid. Alongside her work for Crowell, she is a research fellow at the KU Leuven (Consumer Competition Market), where she is involved in research on EU internal market and commercial matters.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Elisa worked as a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the KU Leuven as a member of Consumer Competition Market. She defended her doctoral thesis on “Promoting the (Local) Origin of Food in the EU Internal Market” in June 2024. Furthermore, she has published widely and given many presentations on unfair commercial practices, especially in the retail and food sector. In parallel to her research, Elisa was co-lecturer for the KU Leuven course EU Economic Law and a teaching assistant for courses on EU internal market and commercial and consumer law.
