Dan Geisler

Dan first joined C&M International in 2000 as a director, serving clients expertly through 2006 to solve problems and help them take advantage of economic, commercial, and political opportunities.

Between 2006 and 2014, Dan served as vice president of the Eisenhower Fellowships, a privately funded, non-partisan organization chaired by Gen. Colin Powell (U.S. Army, retired), which sponsors a unique exchange program for high-achieving global leaders age 35-45. 

Prior to first joining the firm, Dan was senior adviser to Senator Max Baucus of Montana, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, where he was responsible for international trade, labor, and environmental legislation, as well as bilateral issues with numerous countries, including China, Cuba, Japan, and Korea. 

Prior to working on Capitol Hill, he was president of the American Foreign Service Association, a 90-year-old professional organization representing 10,000 members in five federal agencies. During his term, he testified before House and Senate panels on foreign affairs funding, security matters, and government reform legislation.

As a career foreign service officer, Dan served in U.S. embassies in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, as well as in domestic assignments at the State Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). 

Dan began his career as a civil engineer at the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. He earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an undergraduate degree in math from St. Vincent College.
