Orange County – October 18, 2024: The Recorder honored Crowell & Moring partner Chahira Solh with the Distinguished Leader Award at the annual California Legal Awards event in Los Angeles on Oct. 15. The award recognizes lawyers who have implemented major achievements in the last year. Solh was also named a finalist for the Mentorship Award in honor of the impact she has made on attorneys at the start of their careers and in the legal profession.

Washington – June 6, 2024: Crowell & Moring earned 78 rankings for 67 lawyers, as well as 41 national and statewide practice area rankings, in the Chambers USA 2024 guide. The rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and lawyers at peer firms.

Washington – January 31, 2024: Former federal aviation regulator Amna Arshad has returned to Crowell & Moring as a partner in the firm’s Aviation and Transportation practices.

Washington – July 13, 2021: Crowell & Moring LLP partner Rebecca Baden Chaney was one of three lawyers in the U.S. named to Law360’s 2021 list of “Rising Stars” in the transportation category. The award series recognizes lawyers under the age of 40 for their outstanding career accomplishments.  

London – June 30, 2021: Crowell & Moring secured a win on behalf of Dana UK Axle in a High Court judgment that culminates more than three years of intense litigation and seven years of engagement between Dana UK Axle and Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.  On June 28, London’s Technology and Construction Court issued its judgment finding fully in Dana’s favor and awarding all of the £11,243,026 claimed and an indemnity for future losses.  The court will award the client interest on this judgment as well, which will be a substantial additional sum.  Freudenberg will be ordered to pay Dana’s legal fees and expenses, the majority of which will be on an “indemnity” basis, and a £75,000 penalty for failing to accept an earlier Part 36 offer, which operates much like an offer of judgment in the U.S.

Washington – December 21, 2020: Law360 named Crowell & Moring “Transportation Practice Group of the Year.” Law360 recognized the group for “helping airlines, railroads, and shipping giants navigate the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and for its work advising automotive and other manufacturers that repurposed their factories to produce ventilators and other medical equipment.”

Washington – November 30, 2020: Crowell & Moring’s Government Contracts, International Trade, and Transportation practices have been selected as Law360 2020 Practice Groups of the Year. The teams received the award for accomplishments in the last year, including work done related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
