Washington – January 3, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that it has elected eight lawyers to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2019. The firm has also promoted 21 associates to the position of counsel. Only two asbestos bankruptcy cases were filed in 2019 – the lowest number in any one year since Congress enacted the special asbestos bankruptcy trust/channeling injunction statute, Section 524(g) of the Bankruptcy Code. 

The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association ("NAPABA") is excited to announce its 22nd Annual Convention INSPIRE will be held November 17-21, 2010 in downtown Los Angeles. This will be the first time in over a decade that the NAPABA convention returns to California. Over 1,500 APA attorneys (in private practice, corporations, government, and the public sector), including General Counsels of Fortune 500 Companies, judges and law professors from all over the country will attend and who will be Inspired.

Andy Liu moderated an APABA-DC panel discussion on “The Ins & Outs of Appellate Litigation," featuring three of Washington’s most successful Asian American appellate litigators. Crowell & Moring hosted the event, which was co-organized by APABA-DC President Tacie Yoon. Heather Hodges, Lucy Grace Noyola and Howard Yuan attended this event.
