Third Thursday Webinar: OFCCP Update: Initiatives Abound
Webinar | May 18, 2023 | CLE Offered
Please join us for the next edition of Third Thursday – Crowell & Moring’s Labor and Employment Update, a webinar series dedicated to helping our clients stay on top of developing law and emerging compliance issues. The OFCCP continues to position itself as the leading federal enforcement agency on pay equity issues.
Its revised Compensation Directive, audit practices, and proposed revised Scheduling Letter all have a strong focus on pay equity. At the same time, there have been personnel shifts at the Agency, new initiatives focusing on the Construction Industry and much variability in its audit practices.
During this webinar, we will discuss recent developments relating to the OFCCP and what their most recent initiatives mean for federal contractors and subcontractors.
We hope that you can join us and participate in a lively discussion of these issues.

To reduce waste and encourage recycling, an increasing number of international, federal, and local jurisdictions are embracing extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws, which have wide-reaching compliance implications for product manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other entities falling within the varying definitions of “producers.” EPR laws assign covered producers greater responsibility for the full lifecycle of their products and establish mandatory requirements for reporting, source reduction, and financial contributions to third-party entities, known as producer responsibility organizations. EPR requirements apply to a variety of consumer product categories, including batteries, electronics, mattresses, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and, most recently, packaging and paper products.
