Washington, D.C. – April 24, 2014: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that partner Samuel E. Feigin has joined the firm's Corporate Group. Feigin joins from Nixon Peabody LLP, where he served as deputy chair of that firm's Business and Finance Department, chair of Israel Business, and as a member of the Life Sciences Steering Committee. Feigin has long represented a wide variety of clients around the globe, particularly in the high-tech, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), life sciences, and consumer goods industries. Residing in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, Feigin will help spearhead the continued growth of Crowell & Moring's Corporate Group and will play leadership roles in other inter-disciplinary initiatives.

Feigin is a corporate transactional and employment lawyer who adds tremendous value at the intersection of these two areas of law. He routinely serves as outside general counsel and strategic advisor to the management and boards of directors of companies. On the corporate side, Feigin advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, leveraged buyouts, licensing deals, joint ventures, franchising, financing, risk management, and governance issues. Feigin's employment work includes handling executive employment matters, employment and equity arrangements, rightsizing efforts, wage/hour matters, separation arrangements, and restrictive covenant/non-compete issues in both the counseling and litigation contexts. His client representations include start-ups, venture and private equity funds, private and public corporations, investors, investment banks, senior executives, and others. Feigin is particularly adept at representing Israeli and other non-U.S. companies doing business in the U.S. and he is renowned for his work in the executive employment arena in which he handles dozens of inbound and outbound negotiations for companies and executives each year.
Feigin has a strong life sciences practice, having represented clients from pre-clinical biotech companies to venture capital funds, to global pharmaceutical companies for many years. Similarly, he has and will continue to represent high-tech (including software, hardware, cybersecurity and defense technology), TMT (including a wide variety of internet/digital media companies), and consumer goods clients throughout their respective ecosystems.
"The corporate environment is extremely dynamic, and clients move at breakneck speed to seize their windows of opportunity. Teaming with the excellent, client-friendly practitioners in Crowell & Moring's Corporate Group and utilizing the firm's deep background in government contracts, intellectual property, antitrust, and litigation will allow me to offer clients superb and comprehensive cross-disciplinary counsel to tackle and navigate their most complex issues and maximize their greatest opportunities. I feel privileged to join such a formidable firm that is so highly regarded, nationally and internationally, for its commitment to client service, entrepreneurial culture, and spirit of teamwork.
