Cybersecurity and Data Protection Seminar

Event | 11.18.15, 12:30 PM UTC - 5:00 PM UTC

Address

7, Rue Joseph Stevens B – 1000 Brussels

It is our pleasure to invite you to Crowell & Moring’s Seminar on Cybersecurity and Data Protection.

During this half-day event, we will debate current legal rules, the possible liability of companies and the practical measures and good practices that can be implemented by companies to mitigate possible cybersecurity related risks, as well as the actions to be undertaken in case of incidents.  We will also discuss how cybersecurity issues are treated in the U.S., which is not only of importance for European companies doing business in the U.S., but may also provide valuable insights for businesses in Europe in general.

The seminar will also discuss two closely related issues, i.e. the status of the long-anticipated new Data Protection Regulation and a discussion of the October 6, 2015, European Court of Justice judgment that invalidated the EU-US Safe Harbor Framework and its consequences on international transfers of personal data.
