We are delighted to invite you to our next Crowell Café, organized by Crowell & Moring’s Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) and Diversity & Inclusion Committee (DEI). This edition will explore the theme "Navigating DEI Pushback: Current Implications, Global Trends and Long-Term Outcomes."
For many years, Crowell Cafés have been a cornerstone for exchanging ideas on significant social issues. This year, we turn our focus to the challenges posed by DEI pushback in professional settings.
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Veerle Draulans, professor KU Leuven – Centre for Culture, Conflict and Inequalities as our keynote speaker.
Her insights promise to provide a thoughtful foundation for our panel discussion featuring esteemed speakers, including Alexandra Samii, Legal & Compliance Officer KIA, Isabelle Taeymans, OD and D&I Manager Delhaize Belgium, Patrick Charlier, Director Unia, Ihsane Haouach, Social Entrepreneur, Author & Trainer, and Emmanuel Plasschaert, Partner Corwell & Moring and former president of the French Order of the Brussels Bar.
Panel Discussion Highlights:
- Examine the immediate implications of DEI pushback in contemporary society.
- Explore whether this trend represents a global phenomenon.
- Evaluate responses and changes observed across Europe and the USA.
- Contemplate potential long-term outcomes for companies and organizations worldwide.
Following the discussion, enjoy a networking reception with a delightful chocolate tasting by Mina Handmade Chocolates.
We look forward to a lively debate and the sharing of useful experiences and knowledge.
The event is open to all Crowell & Moring clients and contacts and will take place in Crowell & Moring’s Brussels offices (Sablon).
