Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. - Person of the Year Awards Gala Dinner

Each year, the Chamber's Person of the Year Awards Dinner honors two outstanding leaders (one Brazilian and one American) who have been particularly instrumental in forging closer ties between the two nations. The international business, financial, and diplomatic communities convene each year at this traditional gala event to pay tribute to the honorees.

Over the past four decades, this annual event has become one of the most important business and social gatherings in New York City. On May 20, 2010, distinguished guests from the United States, Brazil and other nations will gather for the highly anticipated 2010 Person of the Year Awards Dinner, held in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

This year's Brazilian recipient is H.E. Henrique Meirelles, President of The Central Bank of Brazil and the American recipient is Jeffrey Robert Immelt, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric.
