The American Constitution Society is having a discussion on presidential power and a book signing with Aziz Z. Huq, co-author of Unchecked and Unbalanced: Presidential Power in a Time of Terror and Associate Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University's School of Law. Co-authored by Frederick A.O. Schwarz Jr., former Chief Counsel for the Church Committee, the book examines current executive branch practices and puts them in an historical perspective, arguing that excesses in the name of national security are not new.
