IT Encryption Certificate Required By The DOD

New DOD guidance requires that all companies that do business with DOD must have an encryption certificate to authenticate their IT systems, and several companies have been authorized to issue such certificates. DOD's established date of April 1 has been announced as a goal, not a hard date.

The wait is over. As of today, manufacturers of connected products (both hardware and software) must comply with the Cyber Resilience Act’s (“CRA”) vulnerability and incident reporting obligations.
