Overview

Yongfeng Ruan has extensive experience in electrical and computer engineering, having spent more than 20 years with a major telecommunications company focusing on R&D projects in the areas of wireline and wireless communications systems. He led product development projects on both the system and component levels and is deeply knowledgeable about various wireless and wireline communication standards.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Yongfeng was a senior software engineer with Alcatel-Lucent (AT&T Bell Labs before the merger). While there, he led and participated in many R&D projects, including digital/optical access systems, core routers/switches, wireless access systems (BTS, NodeB, eNodeB), wireless RNCs and core networks. Yongfeng has implemented highly complex 2G wireless standards such as GSM and CDMA, as well as 3G/4G standards such as UMTS and LTE under 3GPP, Internet Protocol network routing systems. With extensive hardware, firmware and software development experience, Yongfeng is also well versed in Internet technologies, including both front-end and back-end development, with substantial experience in designing, developing, and delivering large e-commerce websites.
