Overview

Understanding how to create solutions for cost-effective and defensible discovery helps Ryan Band bring clients peace of mind when faced with high-stakes litigation and regulatory investigations. Ryan’s extensive experience offers clients the comfort necessary to feel at ease with the discovery process, which often is the most stressful portion of litigation. He goes beyond the basic vendor models of data collection, review, and management by tailoring solutions to the particular needs of his clients’ matters. Ryan, along with the Electronic Discovery and Information Management team, is able to create effective and individualized solutions that capitalize on our aligned goals utilizing the most up-to-date technologies, methods, and review platforms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in discovery. He has significant experience advising clients on all aspects of e-discovery and regularly supervises large teams of attorneys on document reviews and other complex discovery tasks.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Ryan worked at an AmLaw 100 firm as a senior staff attorney. He focused his practice on e-discovery, primarily for large-scale litigation in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, he worked on matters related to white collar defense, contract disputes, and government investigations.

Since joining Crowell, Ryan has actively participated in pro bono matters, including representing clients in criminal proceedings in Montgomery County [Maryland] Circuit Court.
