Overview

Marc Moubarak is a senior counsel in our International Dispute Resolution Group. Marc has extensive experience in litigation and contentious matters, having handled a broad range of disputes relating, inter alia, to contracts and commercial transactions, rent, employment, tax, telecommunications, construction, foreign investment, intellectual property, and corporate issues. He also advises on regulatory matters. 

Before joining our firm, Marc worked for several years as an associate for a renowned international firm in Qatar. He has a deep understanding of Qatari laws and takes a creative approach in advancing the clients’ interests. Marc also handled a variety of cases in Lebanon and across the Middle East. Marc attended several programs in Europe and the U.S. to keep up to date with the recent developments in international law and international arbitration.

  • Advising the Communications Regulatory Authority on the proposed revisions to the Postal Law in Qatar and the reform of the ICT legal and regulatory framework in Qatar.
  • Assisting a governmental body with developing the executive regulations of tourism laws in Qatar.
  • Advising clients on enforcement of judgments and awards.
  • Assisting with securing interim relief in ICC emergency arbitration in relation to a subcontractor’s payment guarantee and performance bond.
  • Advising a ministry in Qatar on a Public-Private Partnership for the development and operation of private healthcare facilities.
  • Advising a ministry in Qatar on the hire of an arena operator to provide arena management for two public sports facilities.
  • Advising a foreign company on the applicability of telecommunication and other laws to fleet management services.
  • Advising aviation companies on the legal requirements for the sales of holiday packages, prize draw, and related matters.
  • Assisting a foreign company with an asset-tracing investigation in connection with a multimillion dollar insolvency case in Qatar.
  • Acting as local counsel in connection with a legal compliance audit of one of the largest hotels in Doha.
  • Representing one of the largest paint manufacturing companies in the GCC in a trademark dispute in Qatar.
  • Representing a multinational corporation in a multimillion dollar commercial agency arbitration before Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration.
  • Representing a cinema operator in a complex lease dispute before Qatari courts.
  • Representing an Egyptian bank in relation to a commercial dispute in Syria.
