Kevin Cacabelos is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s San Francisco office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Insurance/Reinsurance groups. His practice includes counseling for complex litigation matters in federal and state forums and counseling for bankruptcy and insurance coverage matters.

Kevin received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He served as the supervising articles editor of the Berkeley Journal of International Law and was a member of the Board of Advocates Appellate Team. Kevin competed in both the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and the James Patterson McBaine Honors Moot Court Competition. He also served as a student coordinator for the La Raza Workers’ and Tenants’ Rights Clinic, which provides legal services to predominately immigrant workers. Kevin advised clients on matters involving wage theft, discrimination, retaliation, unemployment, and COVID-19 safety issues.

Before law school, Kevin taught U.S. history and coached high school basketball in Los Angeles and Seattle as a Partners in Los Angeles Catholic Education Corps member. Kevin received his M.A. in secondary education and his B.A. in history and Spanish from Loyola Marymount University, where he was awarded a Presidential Citation for his excellence in the classroom, his leadership, and service to the community.
