Overview

Jennifer E. Schlosser is a counsel in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, where she practices in the Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation and Product Risk Management groups. Jennifer represents clients involved in complex commercial and tort litigation in a broad range of industries, including information technology, transportation, chemicals, medical devices, and consumer products. Jennifer counsels clients on issues involving preserving privileged communications, negotiating contractual disputes, Consumer Product Safety Commission compliance, and early litigation risk assessment. Her litigation experiences include tort class actions, fraud and RICO litigation, international arbitration, and defending personal injury cases alleging work-place exposure to chemicals.

During law school, Jennifer served as the Production Editor of the George Washington Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Jennifer interned at the Legal Aid Society in Washington, D.C. She also volunteered her services at DC Law Students in Court.

Representative Matters

  • Managed a team handling legal issues related to a complex product claims management process to investigate and resolve thousands of claims alleging damage from a commercial herbicide.
  • Successfully defended a Class 1 freight railroad in actions arising from a collision with a commuter train in Massachusetts that resulted in passenger injury.
  • Successfully defended our client in Hurricane Katrina Levee litigation in New Orleans federal court resulting in a dismissal of all claims.
  • Participating in defense of an international medical device manufacturer in all U.S. product liability litigation.
