Overview

Geert Bogaert is a senior counsel in Crowell & Moring's Litigation and Product Risk Management groups in Brussels. He is also a member of the Automotive and Trucking industry group.

Geert is an experienced litigator and arbitrator. He advises and represents Belgian and international clients on distribution law, in particular in the automotive sector. In this area of focus, he represents several car manufacturers and importers in dealership related litigation, product liability, network reorganizations, and the drafting of distribution, franchising, technology transfer, intellectually property, and other contracts.

Geert is vice-president of the Belgo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Board of the Europe India Chamber of Commerce. He actively works with several nonprofit organizations. He was also appointed deputy judge at the Brussels Commercial Court in 1989. He has authored several publications on distribution law, competition law, and intellectual property law.

Geert was recognized by the 2015 and 2016 editions of Chambers Europe in the area of dispute resolution. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, he was a partner at another major European law firm.
