Overview

Eric Moss is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Chicago office, where he splits his practice between the Patent and ITC Litigation and Patent Prosecution groups.

Eric’s experience includes supporting patent infringement litigation in federal court and inter partes review proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His experience also includes drafting responses to office actions before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

During law school, Eric was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Blakey at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where he was immersed in the practices and procedures of federal court litigation. Eric was also the administrative editor for his school’s Review of Intellectual Property Law and spent time prosecuting patent applications for solo inventors through his school’s patent clinic.

Before starting his legal career, Eric was a product development engineer for a U.S. multinational automotive manufacturing company, where he integrated structural, electrical, and fuel systems components to ensure occupant safety during crashes. Eric was also responsible for performing full vehicle barrier tests according to federal regulations.
