Agnes N. Xu is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Group of Crowell & Moring's New York office. Her practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and providing support in opinion work and patent litigation. Agnes has experience with a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, materials science, agrochemicals, cosmetics, steel formulations, polymers, catalysts, lubricants, coatings, and adhesives.
Agnes received her doctorate from Wesleyan University with a thesis entitled "Thermodynamics and Kinetics of Halogen Atom Transfer Reactions of Ruthenoceniums and Osmoceniums." Her graduate research interest was in medicinal inorganic and physical inorganic chemistry, with an emphasis on the fundamental aspects of coupled group/multielectron transfer reactions in solution. She received her B.A. in chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she conducted research in the areas of coordination chemistry and biochemistry.
Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Agnes was a patent agent at an intellectual property law firm in New York.
Agnes is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
