Crowell & Moring Partner Thomas Hanusik Named to Securities Docket’s 'Enforcement 40'

Washington – November 7, 2017: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas A. Hanusik, a partner in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group, has been named to the Securities Docket’s “Enforcement 40” list for 2017. This marks the second time Hanusik has been selected for this list, which identifies 40 of the “best and brightest” securities enforcement defense lawyers in the industry.

According to the publication, the lawyers on the list hail from many of the top international law firms and “have been key players—both in the public eye and behind-the-scenes—in the most significant SEC enforcement matters over the past few decades.” Securities Docket named Hanusik to the inaugural “Enforcement 40” list in 2013.

Hanusik’s practice focuses on white-collar defense, SEC enforcement, FINRA enforcement, and internal investigations. He defends publicly traded and privately held companies, senior executives, board members and politicians during internal and government investigations, criminal and civil trials, regulatory enforcement actions, and appeals. He has more than 20 years of trial and appellate experience overall, including 12 years as a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice and SEC. He was one of the original prosecutors on the Enron Task Force and later served as assistant chief in the DOJ’s Criminal Division, Fraud Section.
