Crowell & Moring Partner Chahira Solh Named to Daily Journal's 2017 List of "Top 40 Under 40" California Lawyers

Irvine, Calif. – April 21, 2017: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that antitrust partner Chahira Solh has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2017 “Top 40 Under 40” California lawyers list. The California legal publication’s annual list features standouts under 40 years old in the legal industry who have worked on major matters and made significant contributions to their practice areas. Solh was named one of 20 rising stars in the southern California region.

The Daily Journal profile highlighted Solh’s recovery work on both the plaintiff and defense sides of high-stakes litigation for major companies, including General Motors Co., Yamaha Corp. of America, and Motorola Mobility LLC. She recovered tens of millions of dollars for General Motors against the manufacturers of a material used in the company’s vehicles, and defended Yamaha in nearly 40 antitrust class actions that could have cost the company treble damages and attorneys fees had Solh not prevailed in two rounds of motions to dismiss briefings.

“It’s rare to have a pretty strong antitrust presence in Orange County, but it’s a practice that we’ve really been able to develop because we’ve been able to do both sides,” Solh told the Daily Journal.

Outside of the courtroom, Solh serves as co-chair of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Antitrust Law Committee. Additionally, she volunteers with the Public Law Center handling pro bono immigration cases, including helping a sexual abuse victim report the crimes to police and earn permanent legal status.

No aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the Bars of, or any courts in, the jurisdictions in which the lawyers are admitted to practice.
