Staying Relevant: A Governor's Guidance for Trade Associations in Troubled Times
September 27, 2011
All trade associations strive to increase their influence on policy issues as an important part of providing value for their membership. This includes policy issues at the state level, as well as federal. David Freudenthal, a former two-term Democratic governor of the solidly Republican state of Wyoming, will provide guidance to trade associations about how to meet these goals in one of the most challenging economic and political environments in the nation’s history. The governor will draw upon his experience in working with trade associations of all kinds, while leading a state government through a recession and navigating the political environment from the perspective of the minority party. The governor will address a number of topics.
