Contractors receiving American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds are required to register and file quarterly electronic reports with the Government. After considerable delay, the government announced today that contractors may begin registering at federalreporting.gov and encouraged early registration, even though the full electronic reporting tool will not be available until October 1, 2009.

On March 25, 2026, in Cox Communications, Inc. v. Sony Music Entertainment, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed a $1 billion verdict against Cox.
