On November 30, DIUx participated in a panel hosted by the Center for a New American Security and further described its efforts to shift the acquisition innovation culture from a sole-buyer market headed by DoD into an arena in which nontraditional suppliers can work collectively with military workforce who have insight on the technological vulnerabilities the military currently faces. DIUx announced its intention to host workshops and presentations for nontraditional suppliers who otherwise would be discouraged or intimidated by contracting with the DoD, to work to shorten and/or modify traditional DoD procurement requirements, and to endorse flexible arrangements with nontraditional suppliers.

On September 9, 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (HHS) issued a news release announcing an “aggressive[]” “crackdown” on direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising. This release came on the heels of a Presidential Memorandum President Trump issued the same day directing HHS to “ensure transparency and accuracy in direct-to-consumer prescription drug advertisements,” and the FDA to “take action to enforce legal requirements that advertisements for prescription drugs be truthful and not misleading.”
