On November 30, DIUx participated in a panel hosted by the Center for a New American Security and further described its efforts to shift the acquisition innovation culture from a sole-buyer market headed by DoD into an arena in which nontraditional suppliers can work collectively with military workforce who have insight on the technological vulnerabilities the military currently faces. DIUx announced its intention to host workshops and presentations for nontraditional suppliers who otherwise would be discouraged or intimidated by contracting with the DoD, to work to shorten and/or modify traditional DoD procurement requirements, and to endorse flexible arrangements with nontraditional suppliers.

ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting 2026: Spotlight on AI Cooperation in Asia's Rising Markets
The sixth convening of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN) was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on January 15-16, 2026, under the theme “ASEAN Adaptive: From Connectivity to Connected Intelligence.” Senior government officials from across the 11 Southeast Asian nations that form the ASEAN bloc deliberated on key digital policy issues for the region’s economic growth, such as enhancing widespread AI adoption, combating online scams, promoting regional cyber resilience, and boosting digital infrastructure development.
