On November 30, DIUx participated in a panel hosted by the Center for a New American Security and further described its efforts to shift the acquisition innovation culture from a sole-buyer market headed by DoD into an arena in which nontraditional suppliers can work collectively with military workforce who have insight on the technological vulnerabilities the military currently faces. DIUx announced its intention to host workshops and presentations for nontraditional suppliers who otherwise would be discouraged or intimidated by contracting with the DoD, to work to shorten and/or modify traditional DoD procurement requirements, and to endorse flexible arrangements with nontraditional suppliers.

Is Stock-a-palooza Over? Supreme Court allows SEC to Pursue Disgorgement
On June 4, 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously held that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) can continue to pursue disgorgement as an equitable remedy in securities fraud cases without showing pecuniary loss by investors. The Court’s ruling in Sripetch v. SEC resolves a split between the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which concluded that the SEC must demonstrate pecuniary loss, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Ninth Circuits, which declined to require such a showing.
