Overview

Nicholas Dowd is a counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Denver office. Nicholas advises and guides clients through commercial business disputes, antitrust cases, and other high-stakes litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country. Nicholas represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants, helping them navigate complex legal matters, set a strategic course, and resolve disputes favorably.

Nicholas’s clients come from a wide range of industries. He has represented health care companies as plaintiffs in multiple antitrust lawsuits concerning pharmaceutical drugs and as defendants in ERISA litigation, and he has advised health care companies in business disputes and proceedings before state regulators. Nicholas also frequently works with clients from a variety of industries, including technology and insurance, in trade secret misappropriation, restrictive covenant, and employee mobility litigation.

Nicholas received his J.D. magna cum laude from Fordham University of School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review and the Order of the Coif. During law school, Nicholas also interned for the Hon. Richard Caschette in Douglas County District Court (Colorado), worked in the Fordham Law Federal Litigation Clinic, and received the Addison M. Metcalf Labor Law Prize. He has a B.A. in political science from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Nicholas is a member of the Colorado and New York bars and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Colorado, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York.
