You will get engagement and involvement from the entire office to ensure your summer experience is a valuable one. The relatively smaller summer class size facilitates an opportunity to experience different types of practice areas.

Assignments Tailored to Your Interests
Whether you want to pursue a specific practice area in depth or try out different interests, we help you design the summer experience you want. You'll work closely with Crowell lawyers on real client matters, receiving ongoing feedback plus two formal evaluations to help you grow. Expect hands-on experience drafting motions, conducting research, negotiating contracts, interviewing witnesses, meeting clients, and observing and assisting senior lawyers in action.
I had the opportunity to work on a client alert for the Advertising and Media group. Up to that point, I did not have any experience in this area. But I found it extremely interesting and now I am building my practice within that practice. This single summer assignment changed the entire trajectory of my legal career.

Crowell is honored to be part of the LCLD 1L Scholar program. Join the Summer Associate Program in the Washington, DC office for five weeks and then work with a Crowell client for the remaining five.
