Pembe Besingi is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Group.

Pembe’s practice consists of complex commercial disputes and arbitrations. Her practice includes class actions, health care, insurance, and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Pembe was a transactional associate at another firm, where she concentrated on employee benefits, executive compensation, and compliance with related federal laws and regulations.

From 2019–2020, Pembe served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Sarah L. Cave of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. From 2018–2019, she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Peggy Kuo of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Pembe received her J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where she received the Friend of Justice Award for her pro bono work. She then attained an LL.M. in intellectual property law from The George Washington University Law School. While at George Washington, Pembe served as an intern to Chief Judge Susan G. Braden of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
